Job Title/Group: Automotive Mechanic (Pay Group 4)
A full-time position(s) is available at the Town of Chili Highway/DPW Department as an Automotive Mechanic. This is a skilled mechanic position involving the maintenance and repair of various types of vehicles and equipment. Includes work on gas and diesel engines, electrical, hydraulics, brakes, welding. Also involves participation in winter snow and ice control operations.
Applicants must have a strong background in the repair of equipment and power tools operation, as they will be responsible to perform preventative maintenance and repair of department vehicles and equipment.
Applicants must possess a New York State Driver’s License, Class D. Applicants new to the Town are subject to a background test and drug/physical examination.
The starting wage for this position is $24.64 per hour.
