The Monroe County Sheriffs Department Crime Prevention Unit is holding an open forum at the Chili Town Hall on June 13, 2019 from 7-9pm.

Community Center Update

Design work is nearing completion on the new Chili Community Center. When complete, this new facility will be the home of the Chili Senior Center, Chili Recreation, and the Chili Public Library.

Although work is taking place at the site, the Town has not yet done an official ‘ground-breaking’. Contractors are clearing trees and brush to prepare for a ground-breaking.

We will hold a public meeting to share the final designs and timelines once the design work is complete. Like many projects of this nature, there have been a few delays — but nothing major. We are looking forward to making this much-needed project a reality!

Development Around Town

Here’s what’s happening around town.

The former Kmart store is in full renovation mode. Making way for several new stores. Among those that have been disclosed to us so far: Aldi’s , Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Pet Supplies Plus, a Fitness Center, an Urgent Care and a Dance Studio.

The Development you see on Union St. at the Rail Road overpass is the future home of C&M Forwarding. C&M is a trucking and warehousing facility.

American Packaging is about 75% completed with their recent expansion of their new facility on Beaver Rd.

Taco Bell will be coming back to the Planning Board for final approval of their proposed facility on the Two Fronts Plaza (Chili-Paul).

Two new warehouse facilities have been approved, one on Aviation Ave. , one on Airline Dr. . Both located in the industrial zone.

If you would like to be more informed on development being proposed in Chili, please visit the Town web site. There you can sign up to get email notifications for all Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board agendas.
